Purpose

The purpose of the study is to evaluate goals and objectives of the homeless organizations such as Family promise. This organization tends to support families who have no homes and shelters. The aim of the organization is to provide food and shelter to the homeless people. There are thousands of volunteers who work in family promise in order to help miserable and needy old people and, children who have no support of outside world. The environment of homeless is to provide certain goals and objectives which, is directly linked to the homeless people and, government is also supporting such family support programs.

The organization has no certain progress clients to measure the volunteers and other staffs and, I have a key idea in mind to introduce the measurement client to this organization because, measurement will help measuring employees and volunteers for their work. It also helps employees to find at what position they stand and, either they need improvements and maintain their positions.

Measurement

Managers adopt certain criteria to judge employees, as they have rating of performances and jobs of their employees. If an employee has a task to prepare a business report on daily basis and, submit by close of business, then manager may rate him with a score of 5 point Likert scale.

For example, “5” shows seldom or never while “1” presents always. As criteria of this rating, if manager rate an employee with 3 then, this clearly indicates that performance is average or satisfactory. With the help of these ratings, employees tend to know, that where they stand or, how is their performance according to the standards of organization.
