Utilitarianism

Utilitarianism is normative ethical theory that states all actions should be focused on gain the maximum amount of good for maximum number of people. Utilitarianism is generally considered as a branch of consequentialism, even though theorists such as Anscome introduced the theory in order to differentiate between conseuquentialism and old-fashioned utilitarianism. As per this theory the worth or morality of an action can only judged right or wrong depending on the results it produces.
