Introduction
It is not an easy to task to define ethics in the workplace. Generally ethical conducts involve the person in the situation of feeling what is wrong and, what is right for the organization. Ethics makes a person to think accordingly in making decisions for the benefits other than his own will. In workplaces, ethical person has to behave honest, morally correct, punctual, not- cheating with co-workers and other employers, not cheating with customers, and how to treat with co-workers. The ethical situation may involve harassment, improper use of internet and, different outside of work activities (Deloise A. Frisque, 2005).
Discussion
Each individual has to judge himself as how ethical he is and, should know what employee ethics involve. Each employee should know how to deal with the ethical dilemmas while working at the workplace or outside the workplace. In short, it is essential to make our own ethics and code of conducts (John Traveler, 2009).
Every individual may think that, he already knows about what is right and what is wrong. He has also knowledge of ethical conducts in the workplaces and, believes that, he will never do such things which are wrong according to the organization code of conducts (Joshua Joseph, 2000 ).
Ethics in Organization
The ethics of employees are the assets of the organization because; these ethics are brining positive outcomes for the organization that is why each employee get the booklet of basic training for Employees: Ethics in the Workplace. This area is so important for employers that, they have bought this booklet and, expects that, employee understand ethical code of conducts (Ivancevich, J. M. & Konopaske, R., 2013).
The major role of this booklet is to bring awareness in the employee regarding key ethical issues and, to teach how to handle ethical issues time to time. There is also awareness about the ethical violations that, when you get any ethical violation and, non ethical behavior then, how to report to your supervisor. The ethical code of conducts also involve to report the safety issues within the workplace, because if there is any risk then, it may create a hazard which, may cause any potential loss to the life or the property. It is the duty of each employee to report these safety and risks issues to the top management at the first place because, it may create any hazard. Risk is identified as the cause or an event that occurs in any project or a assignment which could be either positive or negative.
