1. How have the changes in the global economy over the last 18 months affected you and your plan for the future? (400 words)

That Ghana is also going through this series of transitions, presupposes that the population is being redistributed. This means the emphasis of economic policy would have to change.

The MBA makes me stand apart from others. The good thing of it is that is for general administration. I can join any sector of the country. This is not the case with other degrees. Having other degree at your hand, you are supposed to join that industry. However, here you are free to choose. This gives me edge and distinction. The MBA is a premier qualification. It not only gives the degree in your hand to sell out your competencies but it also imparts knowledge beyond degree. It makes me update about the market indicators, the economic scenario, marketing gimmicks, the current political situation, the social and psychological conditions of people, as it is like roof under which many different subjects are offered for study. Moreover, it teaches you the art of raising fund, if you want to embark upon your own business.

Perhaps the most urgent policy is a cost-free university education. Already university students bear much of the cost of university education. There are several amounts involved in petty expenditure on university campuses. Incidentally these young graduates would contribute to Ghana economic growth. Education ought to be a right for both rich and poor and not a privilege for the rich alone. Ghana population is young therefore we should be able to reap the benefits of this economic structure. As I said, career growth depends on what you do for a job.
