Introduction

The concept of environmental justice was coined in early 1980s in United States of America. The term has two different meanings and usages. Firstly and most commonly; the term is used in reference to address the social movement focusing on the equal distribution of burdens and benefits of environment. The other use of the word is to refer the social science literature of interdisciplinary body, including but restricted to environmental theories, justices theories, environmental planning and policy, environmental governance and law, sustainability, political ecology and development (Schlosberg, 2007).
