Introduction

It is quite common, in the swarming urban areas, for the urban runoff and sewage to get mixed with the shoreline. For the protection of healthiness of the swimmers from the contaminated beach waters, the coastal waters are regularly monitored and managed by the public health officers to indicate the presence of any dangerous organisms like bacteria.
