Abstract

This study was conceived to analyze if there is any important connection between self-esteem and the yearn to be engaged amidst persons with psychiatric disabilities. In this study Self Esteem was characterised as individual sentiments or attitudes of oneself (Lewis, 2002) while reduced self esteem was characterised as having reduced attitude of oneself, and or feeling of being useless (Nathaniel). The study facts and numbers were assembled from 30 persons with psychiatric disabilities who have work and obtaining mental wellbeing services from Transitioning Lives. Mode of estimation comprised of The Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale and the Work Involvement Scale. The Rosenberg Self esteem scale was utilised to assess self esteem while the work engagement scale was utilised to assess the yearn to take part in the workforce.
