CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
The topic of the study is effective communication in the organization. The effective communication is an important perspective that widely helps the managers and upper level management to interaction between the employees and management that ultimately benefits the organization by improving the performance of the employees. The main reason of carrying out research on this topic is my personal involvement in it because the organization that I work in does not have effective communication skills. I believe that the organization that I work does not see the importance of effective communication. I also feel that a lot of people in higher management lack important information about the effective communication to enforce the effective communication skills within an organization appropriately.
Other than this, the importance of effective communication skills has been discussed in the past literature as well that takes into account different aspects of the communication skills that helps the organization in increasing its employees efficiency at work. Moreover, the communication barrier that hinders the attainment of organizational goals due to the low motivational level also considered to be of great importance that can be solved only through the effective communication skills. It is important for the top management to adopt effective communication skills so that the employees can receive clear orders from them and apply those orders in their routine work and enhance their work performance. It would help the organization to achieve its goals and objectives in the long run and increase the revenues of the company.
Different problems can be created if the top management does not possess effective communication skills with its staff members in their daily organizational operations. The daily operations of the company are largely affected by the communication between the employees and the top management with respect to the achievement of daily goals and objectives of the organization.
