Statement of Purpose

I have been an exceptional student throughout my academic career as I have been able to secure 6 A grades in O Levels and 3 A grades in A levels. Having completed O & A levels, I have comprehensive knowledge in my field of interest. My communication skills are outstanding and I am an outspoken person who initiates conversation with others.

I have been actively involved in volunteering work as I have been serving in the cardiovascular unit since August 2011. This has been a life changing experience, as now I realized the importance of communal work and helping others. Having come from a poor family with my parents not even having the opportunity to go high school, I considered myself to be extremely blessed to complete my education with flying colors. Not only completing my education successfully, I have been the first in my generation to attend college.

As a family we have suffered from severe hardships as our financial state hasn't been that great since a long time. I have worked hard to meet both ends by managing studies and supporting my family with substantial income. I consistently try to improve myself by learning from the environment and surroundings. In my schooling years I have had consistently held positions as class monitor and prefect.

I have actively participated in sports throughout my school life as I believe physical activities increases our wellbeing and productivity. As part of this I am greatly fond of swimming and have won many laurels till now. I have also served as the president of my school debating society. Being the chairman I was responsible for setting the directions for the whole society and have organized various events. I also successfully brought numerous sponsors for the debating society and have also been part of the doing recruitment for the society.

I am greatly interested in learning multiple languages as I feel that acquiring more languages will fare well for a person and help a person in reaching to the top level. If I get the opportunity to study in a world class University I would be able to interact and meet with a diverse group of individuals, which will hold me in good stead once I enter corporate life.
