Drug addiction is a difficulty that has been expanding immensely amidst our humanity today. Drug addictions can only hinder or hold back us from accomplishing goals or aspirations in life. People occasionally seem they are too brilliant, too powerful, too much in command to become addictive. The body can lead to damage, causing problems in the family structure, and contribute to crime in society. People will soon get help for addiction to drugs, most likely to gain control of your life once again. However, abstinence is the surest way to live a long and healthy life. We are heavily influenced by people around us. Today, one of a number of reasons for drug use among adolescents is peer pressure. Peer pressure represents social influences that affect us (Abramson, 1982).

You can have a positive or a negative effect, depending on which path is followed. There is a direct and indirect pressure to influence the decision of a person using drugs. Direct pressure can be when a person offers to try drugs. Indirect pressure may be when a person is about people who use drugs and sees nothing wrong with using drugs.

Addiction is everywhere, from celebrity tabloids, to television, and possibly to a family member or close friend. There is alcoholism, drug abuse, and gambling addiction; the effects of such are devastating.

Addiction is compulsive need for and use of an addictive substance (like heroin, nicotine or alcohol). Someone who is addicted or hooked psychologically believes he cannot function without this substance in their bodies. Addiction to drugs and alcohol and separating families, change the people who once were the best people to be around with. Most addiction at an age where teens individuals learning about themselves and how they form.

The drug can and most of the time leads the individual to steal from friends and family even. These individuals do what is in power to get a hold of their drug of choice. They are capable of hurting those who love them and their loved ones (Ambudkar, 1999).
