The issue of water and sanitation has become a very common problem especially in the developing nations. This is mainly because of increase in the amount of pollution that makes the water in the open streams contaminated. Another problem that leads to contamination of water is the waste that is produced by the factories and is dumped in the water. This is the reason why the people who consume the water get more prone to various diseases and infections because the water is unfit and unhealthy for drinking purposes. Therefore, efforts should be taken by the government to ensure that the drinking water for the people is clean and free from any kind of contaminations to ensure a healthy nation.

Water resources problems and difficulties in the developing nations of the world, or nations that are less developed, presents exceptional administration challenges. These matters and difficulties encompass insufficient drinking-water provide and sanitation amenities, water contamination, floods, the siltation of stream schemes, and the administration of streams and large dams. These difficulties are more critical and prevalent in the developing nations than in the world's wealthier, industrialized ones. Barriers to speaking to water difficulties in developing countries encompass scarcity, illiteracy, fast community development, and ineffective organizations and principles for developing, circulating, charge, and safeguarding water resources.

Discussion

The patterns of the difficulties that are occurring in the nation and are developing are caused because of the dissimilarities that occur in riches, natural environment, and political systems. There are places such as Sahara in which the people are not able to get water because it its scarcity. However, one of the most flood prone nations in the world is Bangladesh because of the position of Ganges and Brahmaputra Rivers. Moreover, apartheid that was practiced previously in South Africa did not enable the people to get ample amount of water. Therefore, there are such dissimilarities which resulted in problems with regards to the nations that are in the developing phase. Moreover, another issue that is being faced by the developing nations is with regards to sanitation that makes the water impure for drinking purposes (Heller, 2009).

Inadequate Sanitation

The 1980's were designated by the United Nations as the International Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Decade. There were assets that were devoted to advancing water services in order to make water supply sufficient for the people and to ensure that sanitation amenities are proper. There are approximately 6 billion people in the world (developing countries) who do not have adequate amount of water. Here, the word “adequate” refers to tap water that is distributed to the people.
