CHAPTER I- INTRODUCTION

Background

4% of wives in United States are severe victim of domestic violence and 12% of women have experienced lighter violent behavior of their partner. The government shows that in the year 2007, 70% of women who experienced domestic violence were killed by their husbands. During 1993-2007 the proportion of victim of domestic violence was raised from 1640 to 2200 (Usta, et al., 2012).

Research Problem

Women from minority face more domestic violence as compared to white women. The issue is present between minorities (Phulpoto, 2011).

Research Objective

This study aims to explore the issue of domestic violence in minority. This study has an objective to obtain related facts and figures regarding domestic violence in United States within minorities.

Research Significance

Domestic violence is a sever issue. It is significant to find out the reason behind the problem and the ways to reduce these causes. In this order, it is significant to determine the issues of minorities and the reason why they are involved in higher violence for women as compared to that of white.

CHAPTER II LITERATURE REVIEW

In spite of higher development in societies, the most confusing incidents in our communities and a wider range of societies of present world are still the inner moral development of a person (Crittenden, 2008).

Domestic violence is a result of social, economical, racial or religious issues (Belur, 2008).

The psychopathological model describes violent behavior as a deviation of behavior of an individual who has personal history with serious disturbance (Bjerregaard, 2010).

The eventual result of domestic violence against females from minorities is the death of women each year in various states by their partners (Bjerregaard, 2010).

CHAPTER III METHODOLOGY

This research involves secondary data collection. The data is collected from various magazines, journals, newspapers and internet sources. Secondary research shows the data obtained from publications, media, literary analysis and other non-human sources. The qualitative research analysis is involved in order to obtain the objectives of the research.

Secondary Research

This research involves has a focus on present facts and figures from the sources like journals, magazines, internet and internal documents etc.
