The research is very much grateful to his research supervisor for his guidance throughout this research. He provided lot of assistance to the researcher and the research is very much indebted to him for his help and support. The main reason for carrying out the research was to put light on the UK copyright law. The study was limited to the dramatics in the copyright law. The objectives of the research were to analyze the legal framework for UK copyright law and the limitations and exceptions. This research was based on secondary research. The researched did extensive study on the UK copyright law and came up with the results. The research used all the available research online and analyzed it without being biased. The researcher kept in mind the principles of reliability and validity in the research. The researcher analyzed the legal framework of the UK copyright law and took help and support from the research supervisor where he felt confusion.
ABSTRACT
This research has explained the basis of copyright law in the UK, and how it protects authors and performers. The contention that all types of work and performances protected have been considered and an evaluation had been made as to the accuracy of this statement. The basis of the major exceptions to copyright law in the UK had been explained and evaluated. Then there has been done analysis and discussion as to whether or not the benefits enjoyed by users may be described as deriving from only a few narrow exceptions. Does UK copyright law actually provide an adequate balance between the needs of right holders and users in relation to dramatic works or not.
