1-What are the main purposes of a business plan? What do you consider to be the two most important aspects of a business plan?
Since politically driven policy processes define the goals of public organizations, managers may feel they have little influence on their missions, priorities, and assignments. Thus, rises the need for development of business plans in hand. A business plan is basically a plan that is made before the start of the business to determine the benefits and drawbacks of starting that business. Given this lack of precision, managers have no choice and must establish and instill a vision and operational path for their organization (McKeever, 2008).
A business plan involves making of forecasts and analysis of various factors that might affect a business in any way. The factors include environment, situation, market growth and share, competition and core competencies, marketing strategies, target customers, business relations and dependencies, financial analysis and cost estimation. However, the most important ones among all stay the demand and supply of the goods or services. This is because with lack of knowledge of the real market and making the services or goods available without sufficient knowledge could be the discriminating point between a successful and failing business.
2-What role do regulatory requirements play in the entrepreneurship process in the health care field? What may health care entrepreneurs do to establish a solid ethical and legal foundation?
Entrepreneurs see opportunity where others see risks. They generate lots of ideas as they pursue business opportunities. But for professional or “serial” entrepreneurs with eyes on limited resources, and knowing how difficult it is to raise venture capital, launching a new business means more than just “scratching the cerebral itch.” Very seldom do they act on impulse. Experts say that an entrepreneur can never be too prepared—screening out unpromising ventures requires a methodology based on experience, judgment, and internal reflection, but not always upon mounds of new data. With a little insight and diligent preparation, people who yearn for their own business can feel confident of forthcoming success or, at the very least, can decide rationally that they should not start one (Stokes & Wilson, 2010). With such explanation of entrepreneurship, it can be clearly understood why laws limits entrepreneurs in health care organizations. However, developing an organization which deals in promoting entrepreneurs in this sector and helps them in understanding and ways to satisfy the laws and bring about new ideas can make difference.
