Animal research is a topic over which no clear position can be taken. I believe animal testing is mandatory for human survival. Scientist don't conduct animal research for fun, rather they find it imperative for general welfare of humans. Had animal testing not been around, many of life saving drugs and surgical methods wouldn't have been developed. This also denotes to the fact that minor diseases would still be dangerous and would have been taking lives. Diseases such as tuberculosis and pneumonia would still be incurable, if animal testing was not done. There is a lot of resemblance in the way of reaction to certain chemicals, pathogens and medications between humans and animals such as rats and guinea pig (Watson, 2009). This makes it suitable to carry out tests on a variety of animals to project effects and on humans. Further, applying human bodies for the intention of these tests is believed to be unethical and illegal. Animal testing is not as laid-back a trend as it is often projected. The license for animal testing is not granted to everyone. And it is warded only when there is sufficient proof that there is no alternative besides animal testing. Animal tests and experiments are carried out under the specialist's supervision. This includes a panel of professional's veterinarians and members of various public and animal welfare organizations.

Authoritative parenting is also known as assertive democratic style of parenting. Authoritative parents can comprehend their children's feelings and needs in a better way. They have better chance to teach children how to regulate things. Similar to authoritarian parent's people with an authoritative parenting style institute rules and principles that their children have to follow.
