Disc Prolapse Occurs In Cervical Egion, Thoracic and Lumbar Region
Introduction
It is totally related to the neuromuscular disease management that is the reason it is completely differ from the neuropathology. Neurology defined by the individual ability in understanding of nerve and muscle pathology. Neuromuscular pathology is the part of the neuromuscular disease is a very wide term that covers numerous diseases and disorders that directly or indirectly related to the damage the working of the muscles through the nerve pathology or muscle pathology. These diseases affect the nervous system of the muscle or directly can affect the muscles. Problems with nervous system can be the reason for paralysis or spasticity which depends on the nature and setting of the trouble.
Most of the neurological disorders can cause problem in the movement because it affect the nerves that have power over the voluntary muscles. Voluntary muscles are controllable like that in legs and arms. The nerve cells that send messages to control these muscles are also called neurons. When there is any problem with neuron like if they damage or become unhealthy, the communication link between the muscles and the nervous system stops. In result, muscles become waste and weak. This weakness can cause several problems like joint, twitching, aches and pains, cramps and problem of the movement. It can also affect the ability of breathing and heart function. There are number of neuromuscular pathology which includes (TWU, 2012):
Cerebrovascular Accident or Stroke and Hemiplegic
Muscular dystrophy
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis
Spinal muscular atrophy
Myasthenia gravis
Spina Bifida
Polio and Flaccid Paralysis
Parkinson's disease
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
Diplegia
Cerebral Palsy
A variety of neuromuscular pathologies are genetic that shows that there is a transformation in genes and they runs into the families. It can also be cause by the immune system sometimes. Most of them are non curable. Treatment of neuromuscular pathologies is done for the purpose of increasing mobility, to recover warning signs and to get longer life (Frontera, 2010).
Discussion
Spasticity or rigidity, weakness of muscles, twitching, loss of control on muscles and muscular pains are the symptoms of the muscular disease. Muscular diseases can be diagnose through the direct clinical observations, electromyography and through the testing of numerous antigen levels and chemicals with in the blood. In case of the tumors or stroke diagnostic imaging can be very helpful. This paper includes the assessment of the neuromuscular pathology related to the thoracic intervertebral disc prolapse.
Thoracic intervertebral disc prolapse
Displacement or bulging of disc between the vertebral column of the thoracic spine (thoracic intervertebral disc prolapse) associated with the compression of spinal cord is thoracic disc disorders with the myelopathy. Any disease of the spinal canal is referred to the myelopathy, which is an inclusive expression. The middle portion of the spine is thoracic region. Carcinomatous myelopathy (spinal cord deterioration linked with cancer), radiation myelopathy (spinal cord devastation from radiation sources such as x-ray therapy) and compressive myelopathy (spinal cord modifications from the force of hematomas or masses) are the examples of ...
