It is estimated that over 500 million people worldwide have any physical, mental or sensory disability and about 80% of them live in developing countries. These people are part of the society but in many cases, they face difficulties in surviving in a society of normal people in majority. This paper discusses about the problems of disabled people and the behavior of society with them. It also discusses John O'Brien's Five Essential Service Accomplishments that are necessary for the community services staff.
