Introduction

The company was founded by Renzo Rosso and his former boss Adriano Goldschmied (founder of the popular AG Jeans company) in 1978. Renzo took complete acquisition of the company in 1985 and launched its policy of international marketing in 1991. In1996 he opened the first flagship store chain on Lexington Avenue in New York.

Much of the production is outsourced and Diesel jeans are mainly manufactured in Italy. The headquarters of the company is located Molvena, in the province of Vicenzain Veneto, in northeastern Italy, where the company manages 17 subsidiaries across Europe, Asia and America and especially in the Maghreb.

In 1991, the Swedish company Paradiset DDB designed the first advertising campaign for the brand. Entitled How ...
