In the method of diary research, the investigator keeps a diary of records relating to the involvement that he has in a certain project. Whereas the contents jotted down to be used as data at times, diary records are different because they may give that information regarding the processes which one is carrying a research on. The diary comprises of information about the person carrying a research, what the researcher intends to do, as well as the process of research. The research diary is a very prominent tool in research actions which is participatory and which can be utilized by all the participants, no matter the interests of the researchers are primary, or they are using the research for societal purposes or professional practices. It is significant to jot down in the diary on a regular basis. The researcher is required to write something on a daily basis that they do to work on the research project and also at regular intervals, for example over a period of a week. Some researchers use bound notebooks or exercise books as a research diary. Other researchers use loose paper or, special forms or floppy disks. All the information in the diary should be kept safely and a perfectly polished report has to be made out of the diary.
