Introduction

This article of family issue defines the death issues of African American man that experiences various diseases. This article defines the problems of African Americans suffering from hyper tension, heart disease, and coronary heart disease. This article based on the relationship status of African American marital status and their risk of developing various diseases. Diabetes had become cause of death in United States. It ranked as seventh in the diseases that caused death in the country. Proper working of insulin by body or from medication is necessary for controlling diabetes. Diabetes can lead to coronary heart disease among African American males. There are 1.8 times more diabetic patients in black than white Americans. Diabetes is not the only issue in the African American males they also die from this disease. The research article has provided sufficient knowledge of marital status and heath. There is strong relation of health and marital status in African American people. Loosing partner in early age can lead to cardio vascular disease in old age. Hyper tension and marital disturbances lead to diabetes and it leads to ultimate cardio vascular disease. The research question of this journal is the relation of marriage health and defined age in it. The research provides gender stratified model to define and explore the patterns of health issues. The research have significant findings according to the various hypothesis presented in the study.

Strengths

The article is consistent and relevant to the African American men. The results are properly evaluated through statistical analysis. Chi-Square and t-test are used to find the results. The sample size provided in the study completely evaluates the relation of marriage and African American health. The article provides significant assistance in resolving healthcare issues in America. It gives reasons for why African American faces most of the chronic diseases. This research held in reducing cardio vascular risk from African American men.

Weakness

The study has restricted sample size that may not be sufficient to represent the whole United Sates. The relativity of data collected may be doubtful because of the privacy issue. There are too much comparisons and relation in the study that might confuse the analyzer. The marriage results have been taken in middle life that is not justifiable for the research conducted. There were some changes in marital status during the research process. The follow up of the study is a long time period that is not justifiable. It is thirteen year long period.

Critical appraisal
