The discussion will relate to family-based interventions, which are useful in quantifiable cases for overcoming the subsequent traumatic problems like recurring abdominal pain, enuresis, and diabetes in children (Chiarelli, et.al, 2005, pp. 22).

The increased level of sugar in blood produces symptoms of increased thirst, increased huger and frequent urination.
Diabetes mellitus are mainly of three types, type 1 DM, type 2 DM and gestational diabetes. Type 1 DM requires injection of insulin on regular basis, where body fails to produce insulin. Type 2 DM involves the deficiency in insulin, where the cells fail to identify insulin properly in the body. The third type is gestational diabetes, where pregnant women carry increased level of glucose in the blood during pregnancy.
