Design and build Contract
The Joint Contract tribunal or JCT Design and Build Contract is particularly used for the designing and building construction projects in which contractor is responsible for doing design and construction tasks. There are basically three main parties involved in carrying out the project and these include the employer, the contractor and the Construction Design Management Regulatory Body. The main features of this contract include that the role contractor, who is liable for carrying out the process of construction and architectural design as well if required, the employer is responsible for establishing the guidelines and plans of requirements and changes required at any stage, the employer chooses an agent who oversees the operations on behalf of employer and the works under this contract are suppose to be carried out in sections.

Acceleration Quotation Process
This process is known as Acceleration Quotation, it facilitates an employer who would like to inspect the probability of actual completion of project by contractor earlier than then mention completion date in the contract. It may apply to a project as whole or just a section of project. The law of build and design in this case requires that the employer must request for proposals from the contractors, which is called an “Acceleration Quotation” (Design and Build Contract, 2009, pp. 25).
The contractor is obligated to specify an Acceleration Quotation that should determine the time of employer, which could be saved, and the total adjusted amount with respect to the sum of the cost of contract.
