The causes of both illnesses and an analysis of which illness might cause the otherwill be discussed in the paper. Most importantly these questions will be discussed:

Does depression predict chemical dependency or visa versa?

How they might cause a greater impact on the individual?

What the chances of having one of the illnesses because of the other one, i.e. their correlation with each other?
