Critical Analysis of African Cultural Artifacts

The carved doors at the Royal Palace at Ikere, Nigeria were carved by the famous African sculptor Olowe of Ise. The artist is considered to be one of the most important contributors to the sacred Yoruba culture. It is important to realize that Olowe was a wood sculptor and contributed with innovation to the African design.
