CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

1.1 Purpose of the research

The purpose of the study will be determining the reason why Asian renal patients (kidney patients) does not have an access to the counselling service like Caucasian white people.

1.2 Problem Statement

Asian renal patients (kidney patients) does not have an access to the counselling service as compare to the Caucasian white people. The research will be based on all the issues that are faced by the Asian in UK. However, three major groups in the UK are subject to universal, government-funded health insurance: military veterans, the elderly, and those with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Most Caucasian white in the last two groups are eligible for insurance coverage through Medicare.

1.3 Significance of Problem

Kidney diseases affects approximately 150 million people around the world. This number can double in the next 25 years. These metabolic changes are caused by painless inflammation of the kidneys called glomerulonephritis, another reason for the kidney diseases includes Diabetes and high blood pressure as consequence because of the lack of effective availaibility of insulin, which in turn interferes with the activity of other hormones.

Kidney diseases are influenced by environmental components. The benefits in the medium and long-term regular practice of physical activity contributes to reduce risk factors for developing Kidney diseases. Today's busy life styles become hectic for many people. Tensions and anxieties haunt each one of us in our daily lives. This busy life style and its various problems put a lot of physical, psychological and even spiritual stress on all of us. Exercise is an activity considered good for human health while listening to music has its own positive effect on human mind and psyche but if both of these things are combined together then it can be considered a lethal combination. Different researches have ought to find out the effect of music and exercises together.

1.4 Rationale

There is a need to assess the studies from around the globe which have provided some information regarding people of Asian ethnic origin who face higher risk of kidney diseases and other related UTIs and renal diseases irrespective of their religion, diet or socioeconomic status. In this way, the present research on the cuurent topic will be supplemented by some of the past data and a broader perspective will be applied this time to studyt he topic in detail.
