COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS

STAGE I

My project would be water sports complex, which would be situated just north of Oban (West Coast of Scotland). This would be a new water park, which would be serving the need of the market.

The cost allocation of the project would be as follows. The starting cost of the project would be around 0.2 million pounds, the project would take around 2 year to complete. To enter into a new project, we have to make a comprehensive resource allocation. The initial cost of the project is £10,000/=

The winners and the Losers of the Project

The winners, or we should say the gainers of this project, are the people whoa are associated with this project in one or the other. These people would include the potential employees, the builders of the project, the government, the community in which the water park will be made.

The losers are the people who will suffer losses after the implementation of the project. These people will include people like the theme parks, which are already operating in the community in the same field. These people will be impacted in an adverse manner by the project, because the competition for these companies would increase.

Then there will be people, who will neither be losers or neither be winners, these will be neutral to the project.

Stage II: PROJECT IMPACTS

Although, for a number of people the television and the multiplex, still are the most affirmed contacts with the American life, for the British people. The concept of enjoying a holiday is gaining more and more popularity with each passing day, and when the people do go for a holiday, they usually head for theme parks and water parks, and visit places like the Disney World; which is the most popular resort among the British become more like the USA, and they will lose their identity.

My water park would provide the people in the community with a holiday resort, where they can spend their holidays with ease and with comfort. Furthermore, the project will also help in the development of the community on the whole, because this project will provide employment for the people who live in the nearby community. Then this project would also help the people in fighting the impression that they are becoming inclined towards the American culture, because they will have a chance to enjoy holiday at home, i.e. in their own country.

Then another impact of my project will be on the community traffic. The water park is expected to attract people from all over the country; this is bound to increase the traffic pressure on the local roads.

Since, it will be a water park therefore; it will sure utilize a large amount of water. This can create a shortage of water in the local community.
