Health literacy is the ability to access information on health and use to make appropriate decisions and maintain health (Bohlman, Panzer, and Kindig, 2004). According to study, those mothers who had poor rate of knowledge in health related matters were less likely to receive TANF as compared to those mothers who had sufficient knowledge of health related issues.
