Thesis Statement

Electric cars have more efficiency than diesel and gasoline engines

Introduction

Moving vehicles are the most beloved feature of the current technology from about more than a century. This has made the people travel more one place to another efficiently and effectively, and has made workers live out of the country for different purposes, because of which many consumer goods reach the market on time according to the demand. This has solved a growing economical problem. The number of cars on the streets has increased, and scientist says, that the technology exists to improve the fuel efficiency standards for new trucks, and car, and if improved efficiency is required oil import should be cut down, create jobs, save money, and this objective can be achieved by helping with global warming. It is said that, it is much safer to drive fuel efficient cars (Bossel, 2003). If we see it from philosophical point of view efficiency, is not always desirable. Efficiency seems to take a back seat in the period of plenty and rapid growth. People do not choose efficient cars when it grows against their personal choice.

People do not deny buying an efficient vehicle whenever the prices go higher, and resources seem to be less, otherwise people do not even care if they are wasting resources until and unless it does not affect their lifestyle (Shell, 2001). If we see it from a macro point of view efficiency might be desirable but from a personal point of view efficiency is considered very rare by people.

Discussion

The efficiency of a car is based on the heat output and input. Only in turbine the efficiency of a vehicle is the maximum which is around 60%. Diesel has about 40% efficiency, and only 30% efficiency is generated from a gasoline engine. From a research, we found out that after a drive the efficiency of a vehicle is dropped out to 15- 17% so, it is said that our cars are only about 15% efficient. It is for sure that the cars should be more efficient and for that it should get away from heat engine models. An electric car is 95% efficient. Because of more aerodynamic shape, and regenerative breaking the waste generated is relatively less and the absolute efficiency goes around 85 to 90 % that is far better than an engine car (Department of Climate ...
