Abstract
This study focuses on the project planning and the feasibility studies. In this research, the similarities and the dissimilarities between the project planning and the feasibility studies have been analyzed. The major focus of this study was on the identification of different perspectives of the individuals from both the private sector and the public sector. Therefore, a consultancy firm, WSP which deals in construction and real-estate consultancy business was chosen for the data collection purpose and different contractors and clients were interviewed through formal interviews and through questionnaires. Their views on the project planning and feasibility studies in their sector were analyzed. The outcome of the project was also measured through different techniques. This study involved the triangulation approach as both the qualitative and quantitative data were thought to be useful in order to forecast the accurate result. For this purpose, both the interviews and the questionnaire were used. The outcome showed that there are much dissimilarity in the feasibility studies and the project planning in the private and the public sector.

It also creates conditions for a faster design and production. Well conducted studies are more likely to be the right solution is chosen from both a technical and economic perspective.
