Community Experience and Cultural Diversity

My community project was done in Easter Seals, South Florida, Inc. This is a therapeutic adult center. It is for elderly with different levels of Alzheimer's or Dementia. The center provides a safe place for those who cannot remain alone during the day while the family is working, running errands or taking a much needed break. It is an adult day care center. As nursing students, we took vital signs and did a mini-mental test. Of course, individuals are not isolated, so we did a community assessment.
