This paper proposes to use the prospect of managing emotions as a lens through which to examine the self, interaction and structure. It presents the argument that emotions can be subjected to acts of management and that often happens. The individual often performs work aimed to produce or inhibit feelings of how to make "appropriate" to the situation. The prospect of managing emotions borrows interactionist perspective emotions. It differs from the perspective of a dramatic and side view of another psychoanalytic. It allows us to examine more closely, as these perspectives, the relationship between emotional experience, emotion management, feeling rules and ideology. We consider the rules of feelings as the aspect of ideology dealing with emotions and feelings. Furthermore, this paper will present examples to explain the idea of commodification of feelings.
