Introduction

Clinical Work Practice helps the nurses and the doctors to work in a way that is acceptable and that helps in maintaining the same kind of work that is expected of them. There are a number of clinical work practices that are related to the health and social policy and are also implied while caring for the patient. For the purpose of this paper, the clinical work practice that is undertaken for discussion is the improvement of quality of care. In this paper, quality of care will be critically assessed as to what influence it has on the health and social policy and on the care of the patient.

All over the world, patients, in general, and in-patients in particular, are always accompanied by their family members or friends (or at least one of them), by volition provide necessary assistance to the patient for the entire duration of the stay in the hospital by staying in the same premises. Service quality research in the healthcare context not only needs to take cognizance of the indispensable role played by attendants, but also examine the influence of the satisfaction of the patient by the services that the hospital is offering (Jain & Gupta, 2004, pp. 29).
