Every location on Earth has weather. However, distinct locations on Earth have distinct kinds of typical weather. Some locations are dry, some are wet, some are hot, some are freezing, and some are a little of everything.
Climograph
A climograph is a graphical representation of the basic climatic parameters, which is monthly average temperature and precipitation, at a certain location. It is utilized for a quick-view of the climate of a location. Climograph is a dual-purpose graph, displaying two distinct kinds of information. A bar graph displays how much precipitation a given location receives throughout a time span of time. A line graph shows the temperature conditions for the same place during the same period of time (Strahler and Archibold, 2008).
Precipitation
Precipitation is any pattern of moisture which falls to the earth. This encompasses rain, snowfall, hail and sleet. Precipitation occurs when water vapor cools. When the air reaches saturation point (also known as condensation point and dew point) the water vapor condenses and forms tiny droplets of water and these tiny droplets of water from clouds. Complex forces cause the water droplets to fall as rainfall (Dugdale, 1998).
Temperature
Temperature is a personal property that quantitatively expresses the common notions of hot and cold. Objects of reduced temperature are freezing, while diverse qualifications of higher temperatures are mentioned to as warm or hot (Atkinson, Briffa, Coope, 1987). Quantitatively, temperature is measured with thermometers, which may be calibrated to a variety of temperature scales (Atkinson, Briffa, Coope, 1987).
Climate of Rangpur
Rangpur has a tropical monsoon-type climate, with a hot and rainy summer and a dry winter. January is the coolest month and August is the warmest. The climate is one of the wettest in the world (Baars, 2000).

This graph depicts the participation in blue bars and temperature in the red line. According to this graph, precipitation and temperature are quite low in the beginning and ending of the year. However, precipitation and temperature are relatively high in the months of June and July. This climograph displays a symmetry where an equal distribution can be seen through out the year in Rangpur - a city of Rangpur. This climograph implies higher temperatures at the same time that it has higher precipitation.
Rangpur has warm temperatures throughout the year, with relatively little variation from month to month. January tends to be the coolest month and May the warmest. On the other hand, it has a very minimal amount of variation in its precipitation, which is lowest in winters and highest in summers.
Factors Affecting the Climograph of Rangpur
Rangpur is subject to devastating cyclones, in the periods of April to May and September to November in the past. Often accompanied by rushing swell, these storms can origin great damage and decrease of life. The cyclones in past, in which a large no. of causalities were lost in Rangpur, was one ...
