The most intriguing and essential foundation of the Christian faith is the comprehensive belief in the person and the work of Jesus Christ. It is very pertinent that the followers do not view Christ as a good or an ideal man. Although Jesus Christ's existence on the planet was in fact in the form of a man, however he represented much more than a mortal being. A Christian has to uphold the belief that the mortal life of Christ was meant as a symbol for humanity, and his life's work was a sacrifice made for the good of mankind. In this paper we will critically analyze the nature of Christ's work and person, and what do these concepts symbolize for the followers. The research will be focused on the origins of this concept and the relevant biblical text will be analyzed to establish a comprehensive conclusion. This paper will comprehensively research the concept of Christ's person and work, and the relevant biblical text will be included to formulate a comprehensive conclusion.
Thesis Statement
The role of Jesus Christ as the source of the Christian faith and also a mortal being is the essential foundation of the religion. This dual role of Christ has become the symbol of faith and spirituality for the followers; establishing a role model for the people of Christian faith.
