Introduction

The theology is the Christian doctrine of the Christian faith. Christian theologians used the survey, the reason (philosophy wise) and discussion to understand, explain, defend or promote Christianity. Theology can help understand Christianity more truly theological, making comparisons between Christianity and other traditions. Defend Christianity against critics; facilitate the reform of Christianity, helps in spreading Christianity, distinguishing Christian tradition or other reasons as well. In the formation of modern Europe, Christian theology has permeated western culture. The Western culture due to their interdependence requires a proper understanding of both Christianity and theology.

Thesis statement

This paper analyzes the basic concept of Christianity and their faith. However, it also addresses the link between Christian faith and Christianity theology. Thus, Theology has become a major obstacle to experimental knowledge. Every glimpse of a living scientific thought stifled in the bud.

Christian faith involves believing in all the declarations and promises of God written in the Bible, therefore, is a human response of acceptance to the grace of God. When it comes to God is to believe blindly in something, their promises, their truth, without proof, because it is something one feel within itself (Lindbeck, 2004).

Faith is learned, not innate or inherited, is taught by parents and schools of catechism (as Catholicism does not biblically). The Bible defines faith as "the substance of things hoped for (future), the evidence of things not seen (in this)" (Hebrews 11:1).

The modern Christian theologians agree on all the existential nature of faith, to distinguish the concept and popular belief identifies it as opposed to knowledge. Actually, faith belief encompasses but goes much further in the history of theology the distinction is made most often between faith and works of faith and knowledge. This distinction was expressed by the apostle Paul, who said the sinful human being could not achieve salvation through meritorious works but only through faith in the free grace of God. According to this idea, recovered strongly by Martin Luther during the Reformation, masterly works are the result of faith. The faith relationship with God enables the believer to transcend the limitations and do good works.

During the Middle Ages, Catholic theologians distinguished two separate types of religious truths, but ultimately compatible: that is accessible to human reason without any other help, such as belief in the existence of God, and those that require faith to be apprehended, as the belief in the resurrection from the dead. From a historical perspective, the Roman Catholic Church has defined faith as the acceptance of the doctrine and the absolute authority of God in what promises to reveal or disclose (Hauerwas, 2009).
