Concept of Evangelism in Christianity

The word derives from the Greek word evangelization: gospel, its meaning is to proclaim good news, from the sacred view, is to announce the Good News of Jesus Christ, while for the early church was the gospel of Jesus Christ himself, who had proclaimed a message of salvation and announced his second coming. The Christian church as in the beginning, announces the good news of salvation event in Jesus Christ, however, as the evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, emphasizes different aspects:

Mark: Jesus Christ is the content and the author of the gospel. He is present and active where it is proclaimed the gospel (Mark 8:35; 10:29).

Matthew: Add a clarification to the word gospel: "gospel of the Kingdom" (Mt.4: 23, 9:35). Jesus Christ brings the gospel, which proclaims it. Are given by teaching his disciples (Mt.4: 23; 9:35; 24:14).

Luke: Gospel is to proclaim a message of happiness (in the manner Hellenistic). Gospel is the proclamation and praxis (Luc.1 :67-69; 4:18-21.31-37.38-39.40-41; 5: 12-16.17-26; 6:6-11.18-19.20 ss; 7:22; etc.). .

John, more theological presentation of Jesus Christ (John 1 :1-18). "The idea behind this term is to announce the good news of God to non-Christian world, which implies an appeal to the decision to accept Jesus Christ to be saved." This is the perennial task of every Christian.
