Child protection; a need

'Child protection' is a fundamental concept that deals with child abuse, neglect or other issues that can lead to social disrupt in the future. Child protection is an immensely significant component of every society. It covers a multiple range of issues including, the right to identity, birth right, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, child trafficking, child violence, child labour, victim rights and so on. Research show increased number of youth crime, across the globe. This increases the significance of child protection services in the social setup of humankind. Juvenile delinquency has been found, co-related to the existence and effectiveness of child protection systems in societal context. Child protection services are a state-run institutional setup that voices and initiates efforts that pertain to safeguard of children in their respective society (Depanfilis & Salus, 2003).
Child protection pertains to every act that pertains to violation of children rights. The principle job is to ensure that every child in the society is provided with rights and resources to develop an appropriate personality, as well as, becomes a responsible citizen and contributes to the future of humanity.
Current status of children right violation
The rights of children are at stack around the globe. Statistics depict a horrific picture regarding children rights. There are problems that question child survival, as well as, the fulfilment of child rights all around the world. Child population that undergoes deprivation from the rights face most destructive consequences listed as under;
They have shortened lives
Issues with mental and physical health
Problem in educational progress
Difficulty in transition to adulthood
Poor parenting skills
Poor personality displacement
Lack of respect for self and society (Child Protection Services, 2006).
In addition to, the afore-mentioned consequences, there are other issues that pertain to adverse facets of social and communal hazards, as well as, perpetual consequences that lead to social disruption and obstruct development of mankind. A child, who has brought up with fulfilment of rights and responsibilities, becomes a responsible citizen to the society. He becomes healthy in physical, mental and societal perspectives.
