Children are God's blessings that He showers upon us. A family having children is blessed and gifted, while at the same time at risk from dangers outside the home. It is the family's responsibility to take care of the children and provide them with all the comforts of the world (Westen, 1991). There are a number of practioners outside the household, which can contribute to safeguarding children from all sorts of potential dangers. This paper will be discussing the most debatable topic of today.
Thesis Statement
The paper will discuss “Child's behavior is worst today than it was ten years ago”. The Child behavior is so much worse today than years ago. It is true that every generation complains about how their children are so much spoiled and disrespectful than they were to their parents.
Discussion and Supporting Evidence
There are many reasons that are responsible for the children's behavior. With the advent of cable TV, the Web, PCs, laptops, Ipods, Ipads, Nintendo DS, Entertainment systems in cars and cell phones, and social networks like Facebook, it's no wonder that our children are constantly distracted and unable to focus. It's no surprise that ADHD is more prevalent today than years ago. The mainstream of cable TV and the shows which are aired today mostly affects the children behavior. Even adults think that because the bar of decency has been lowered on TV that they can behave and speak the same way to others in their social circles. Children absorb ways of interacting and try them from many sources and TV and movies and DVDS are a major source. Violence on media gives the children a dark concept about the world and pragmatic approach to cognitive development. This causes lack of compassion for the suffering of others in teenagers. Some people say that our children are being desensitized to violence, sex, bad language and backtalk to authorities to the point that teachers and parents are left often feeling helpless and overwhelmed by inappropriate behaviors and language (Holigrocki, Kaminski & Frieswyk, 1999).
From parents to the general public, almost everyone is observing a change in today's children in terms of behavior compared to their childhood years. One evident theme is that child behavior has changed now compared to the way it was several years. The main question however remains on which direction the behavior has changed. Is it for better or for worse? Engaging in a debate regarding on whether child behavior have become better or worse will lead you to experiencing rather tough comments that are either blaming parents or that are too hard on children behavior. Child behavior has no doubt become worse than it was several years ago. From the mere complaints by parents and the public to more concrete evidence, one is left with no doubt that today 's child is portraying a worse behavior pattern compared to a child some years ...
