Discussion

The writings of the authors will be discussed in detail. The synthesis of their views represent love for all, strong faith in God and non-violenece. According to the three authors, faith in God enables a person to fight with the hardships of life.

Conclusion

Several catholic authors and their visions about faith in God and love will be summarized. Their views on conversion and love enabled them to serve the mankind and get a proper direction for themselves in their lives.

Introduction

Van, or Sheldon Vanauken, is the storyteller and hero of the story, A Severe Mercy. He is a fervent person of literary works and poetry, as well as cruising and music, and a beau of excellence in all the shapes. Van is romantic and an intelligent who, at the start of the story, is an affirmed and euphoric agnostic, who likes pleasure and honest living with the acknowledgment that everything that has been created is made by a canny being, or ethical theism, the wisest course. Over the course of the story, however, he is defied with the verifiable superiority of the Christian scriptures and the bid of an essence shaped as a being by Christ. He, with the direction of some Christian creators as well as the smart kinship of Christian thinker C.S. Lewis, ends up an associate in trust with his wife, Davy, and with incalculable alternate amazing Christians.

In Martin Luther King's book, “In strength to Love” it has been mentioned that everybody has gone through miseries and troubles in lives, but the ones who have strong faith in God, and whose hearts' are pure, pass through the troubling times successfully. Dorothy Day's (1891-1980) personal history, “the long loneliness” reveals about Dorothy's passionate change over to Catholicism. She was revolutionary, distributivist, social activist and American columnist. She is acclaimed not just for her composing and social activism but for organizing the daily paper The Catholic Laborer with her partner Peter Maurin, which upheld passivity, effortless living, and help for the oppressed. The long loneliness is an expression highlighted by Dorothy, which represents a state of depression.
