In the case study “Outrage At Eastern”, it has been shown that how the managers are confronted to the situations at the workplaces that how they have to deal with their employees and subordinates. In this case the Charles Jackson was the plant manager at the Eastern Planting Company. As the manager, Charles Jackson had to face a variety of workers who belonged to different kind of behaviors and attitudes. Once, the manager came to know the activity of his coworker, Marty Reid. The co worker, Marty Reid was found to be the molesting his own stepdaughter. Knowing this situation, the other co workers were asking the manager to fire that person. However it is the policy of the company that any worker who is charged with the crime should be allowed to work again in the company in which he was working before.
This was the critical situation for the Charles Jackson because the co worker were at too much anger and were saying that if Marty Reid returned to worked he will be punished by the co workers. It was becoming for Charles Jackson to handle the situation. It was becoming difficult for him to take the decision that the person should be fired or e should be allowed to work again. The manager either had to go against the company's policy or he had to go against its co workers. If the manager opt to go against the co worker, then it was likely that co workers will do unfavorable act that can lead the company and its managers into another trouble.
