Career Development Plan

I have been in the security officer profession for some years, and also a student at University of Phoenix. Now, my long term aim is to own my own homeland security office as a homeland security officer or business owner. I am very well aware of the core assumptions, use of systems, and the value of transformational leadership, action research, and democratic principles. Therefore, I aim to pursue my degree in Information security.

Five Year Career Plan

Career Goals

First two years

In the first two years, I plan to work as a security officer in a reputed institution. During this time, I also aim to study information security at University of Phoenix. After the completion of two years, my aim is to work as the manager in the information security department of any reputed organization.

Next Three Years

By this time, I aim to become the owner of a homeland security office. This is my long term goal which I have to achieve in the next five years.

Objectives and Importance of the Field

The field of information security has grown and evolved considerably since the Second World War becoming a worldwide accredited career. This field offers many specialty areas, including the audit of information systems planning, business continuity, digital forensics and administration of safety management systems. Information security refers to all those preventive and reactive measures in organizations and technological systems that allow safeguarding and protecting the information intended to maintain the confidentiality, the availability and integrity of it.
