Canada in Afghanistan

Canada is in Afghanistan at the appeal of the democratically elected government and as part of a UN-mandate, NATO-led attempt of 37 NATO as well as non-NATO countries. According to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada goal is to guard Canadians by assuring that Afghanistan never over again falls into the hands of the Taliban plus that Afghanistan becomes a steady free and democratic society.
