New York is a state in the US, situated in the Northeastern region. With a population of over 8.1 million, it is one of the nation's most populous states; it is referred as New York State and boarders with Canada to the North West. It holds the position as the financial, transportation, manufacturing and cultural center of the US, and is known for the rich history it has as the gateway for immigrants into the US for more than a century, and remains the destination of choice for many foreign tourist and visitors.

The intentions of bureaucracy are to apply the actions of large organizations, entities or governments to achieve their mission and aim. The aim bureaucracy is to find the best way to fulfill its purpose with the greatest level of effectiveness with minimum cost of resources.
Bureaucracy of New York
Three branches govern the state of New York according to the constitution. The executive branch does so through the elected governor with the help of elected constitutional officers, while the legislative branch does so through the senate and the assembly, followed by the State`s court of Appeals from the Judicial branch. It has two United States senators, 29 of the members in the US house of Representative, and the number or votes in the nation presidential elections are 31.
Bureaucracy function
The public benefit corporation are responsible for most of the state`s public services. These are official authorities or development corporations for the work of the city. Being such a huge metropolitan city, these authorities are vital for the efficient flow of work and activities, which may otherwise not be possible. It are these authorities that have been managing the transportation and port of the state, but have come under fire in the recent years and called as being obsolete and inefficient. This may be true, but not unique to the state of New York, as its common in the English speaking countries to use public benefit corporations to help the state with economic activities, without directly being in the lime light of any criticism when making risky investments.
