Introduction

Educational institutions, including primary or secondary schools, high school or colleges all have been consistently exposed to the immortal problem of bullying since a long time. The management of the schools around the globe has made several efforts to figure out a permanent solution to the problem, but unfortunately, so far most of them have failed to do so.

Bullying refers to the verbal, physical or emotional violence attempted by an individual or a group of people for the purpose of teasing, distressing or intimidating an individual or a group of people. It can be marked as any activity that can threat or create a sense of fear among children or adolescent. The bullying usually occurs inside the school premises, most likely in play areas, hall rooms, bathrooms etc. The people performing the bullying activities are known as “bullies”, they often target children or adolescent who belong to a different culture, religion or ethnic back ground, or children that seems unique or different from other peers. The activity is often carried out in front of a large crowd, the purpose of doing so is not only to threat the targeted individual but also to let the spectator's know “Who's the boss around?”

Now since we have a rough idea as to “what is bullying, who are bullies, where the activity is usually performed, and who gets victimized by bullies most often??? We will move on to the next step and explain in detail some more facts and figures regarding the underlying issue.

In this section we will be making use of the literature review as a secondary source of information as well as our opinion, to get a firm grip on our topic.

When a child goes through second-rate socialization, he faces a lot of peer stress, which can be very uncooperative and impractical at times. Mostly the low-esteemed children are subject to issues like these as children in the group would frighten or harass them with pranks and practical jokes. The bullying activity is primarily related to the environment that a child witness throughout his or her school life. Most likely children who are either top of their class and excel in their studies are victimized or others who are weak in studies and are subject to such bullying.

Besides, the issue is still debatable and gets attention every now and then. Unfortunately, nobody has come up with a solution to resolve such an issue. Bullying usually occurs in playgrounds, bathrooms, classes, laboratories and anywhere where people can terrorize a weak child. Bystanders or spectators usually stand and participate in fueling the incident as they feel it to be thrilling and sensational at the same time. Children who bully in middle school are tougher than the other children around and can cause a lot of chaos.
