Introduction

The idea of the melting point strongly associated with the United States, predominantly with the reference of immigrant groups "model" of the past. The melting pot is a comparison for the way in which diverse societies turn out to be more homogeneous. During late 1890's the Progressive Movement was one of the dominant periods of America. The fighting was not between one group of people or on one thing but, the fighting was due to the plethora of people that consist of diverse ideas of changing society steps, to improve them (Duke, 558).
