The article will reflect the application of Bradford's Criterion in Neuropsychiatry. Some criteria were provided by Sir Austin Bradford including the strength of the association, consistency, specificity, temporal sequence, biological gradient, biologic rationale, coherence, experimental evidence, and analogous evidence (Hill, 1965).
Hill's Guidelines for Determining Causality
Hill's criteria are beneficial for neuropsychiatry because (1) it suggests approaches for research, (2) Provides basis of teaching necessary lessons regarding the role of brain in changing behavior, (3) May add to the rigor of current findings, (4) are widely applied and accepted in medical field (Reekum et.al, 2001).
