The human body system consists of many factors and elements. These elements play either essential or important roles in the functioning of the human body and also these elements and functions of the human body allow the body to fight against diseases and illness. There are many types of studies that are conducted to understand the functioning of the human body. The most common and the basic functions of the human body are known as the anatomy and physiology of the human body. The terms that are used for the anatomy and physiology are mostly related to the Greek words. The reason of this is that the studies of these systems were mostly carried out in the Greek period and many things were discovered at that time. The understanding of systems of anatomy and physiology allows us to know about the micro anatomy and the physiology of the body system. The anatomy of the human body allows us to understand the structural allocation and the integration of the factors and elements inside the body. This involves the chemical structure of the body, the functioning of it and the associations of these structures with the other body parts (Sherwood, Lauralee, 2010, pp. 315). The anatomy of the human body is actually the map of the body. The anatomy of the human body and the physiology of it go hand in hand. This helps us to understand the different type of body parts and their structures as well as their functioning. The study of the anatomy of the human body is divided into two major groups.
The Gross anatomy: this is the study of the human body parts that are visible to the eye.
The Microscopic anatomy: this is the study of the structures of the human body that are very small in the sizes and that are difficult to see. These structures particularly involve the cells and molecules present inside the body.

Macro anatomy and the physiology of the body system
The Gross anatomy is also known as the macroscopic anatomy. This type of anatomy is further divided into five major parts. These major parts involve the following.
The surface anatomy: this part involves the study of the surfaces of the visible human body parts.
The regional anatomy: this part involves the study of the structures of the particular regions of the body that are separately greatly visible. These involve the arms, legs and the head. These body parts are further involved in the study of physical therapies and the dentistry.
The systemic anatomy: in this area, the organs of the human body and their functions are discussed and the purpose of such organs is described in detail. The study of the systemic anatomy allows provides the factors that directly affect the functioning and the system of the human body (Zimmer, C., 2004, 608).
The development anatomy: in this part of the anatomy, the changes in the structures of the human body are discussed and the effects of these changes in ...
