Breland found out in his research that birth had a significant impact on the verbal ability of a child. Researches by Wark and Bradley had shown that birth order had had a positive impact on first born child, as they had shown that first child in the family had gone for more education. However, the birth order had a positive impact for smaller children, as they were more likely to get involved in extra-curricular activities, as compared to older children in the family.
