Biodiversity

Introduction

The purpose of this writing is to write an interview between two individuals who are expert in the field of biodiversity. Here the interview is being conducted with Mr. Smith, who is an expert of biodiversity and Mr. John.

Mr.John: What basically is biodiversity?

Mr.Smith: Biodiversity is the basis for ecological services that range from water filtration to food production to carbon cycling, and are worth tens if if trillions dollars per year.

BioDiversity are often seen in opposition, with environmentalists and developers struggling for compromise in a zero-sum game. But in the developing nations, the opposite is true. Destruction of the natural environment is usually accompanied by short-term profits and then rapid local economic decline. In addition, the immense richness of tropical biodiversity is a largely untapped reservoir of new foods, pharmaceuticals, fibers, petroleum substitutes, and other products. Because of this set of historical circumstances, this book, which contains papers from the forum, should prove widely useful. It provides an updating of many of the principal issues in conservation biology and resource management. It also documents a new alliance between scientific, governmental, and commercial forces-one that can be expected to reshape the international conservation movement for decades to come. The National Forum on BioDiversity and thence this volume was made possible by the cooperative efforts of many people.

Mr. John: For what reasons biodiversity lost its ranks among top concerns the if biologists?

Mr.Smith: For these reasons biodiversity the loss ranks among top concerns if biologists. The Biodiversity Project is an environmental organization that is working to protect, restore and conserve North America's land and water resources. We do this through strategic, targeted, research-based communications. We work to connect people to nature and engage them in the topics and issues critical to human health and well-being.
