Battle Bots

BattleBots is an American business that hosts robot competitions. BattleBots is furthermore the title of the TV display conceived from the affray footage. BattleBots Inc. is headquartered in Vallejo, California and retains most of its affrays in San Francisco.

In a BattleBots happening, as in other battle robot affrays, competitors, being remote-controlled, armored, and weaponed appliances, have been conceived and constructed and put simultaneously in an arena to battle in an elimination tournament. The reason of the battle is for one robot, or "bot", to override or disable the other.

The TV display BattleBots aired on the American twisted cord mesh Comedy Central for five times of the year, covering five entire BattleBots tournaments. The first time of the year aired beginning in August 2000, and the fifth time of the year aired beginning in August 2002. Hosts of BattleBots were Bil Dwyer and Sean Salisbury (with Tim Green restoring Salisbury after the second season) and correspondents encompassed previous Baywatch actresses Donna D'Errico, Carmen Electra, and Traci Bingham, previous Playboy Playmate Heidi Mark, and equal twins Randy and Jason Sklar. Bill Nye was the show's "technical expert".
